Welcome to A Calm Place Counselling!
Offering counselling in Regina and surrounding areas.
If you are seeking a compassionate, experienced professional to support you on your journey to healing and growth, I am here to help. By creating a safe, supportive space, I empower my clients to explore their experiences, uncover their strengths, and develop the skills necessary to move beyond difficulties. I believe each of us is capable of change but we may need some help along the way to doing this. I would love to be the one to help you.
With 19 years of experience as a clinical social worker, I've learned just how much strength and potential for change people really have. Over the years, I’ve seen individuals face all kinds of challenges—whether it’s trauma, difficult past experiences, or deeply held beliefs—and still find ways to move forward. I know it can feel like you're stuck sometimes, but I truly believe there's always a way through. I'm here to help you find that path. Change is possible—it just takes effort, commitment, and a lot of courage to reach out and say, “I need some help with this.”
I don’t believe we have to stay stuck in the stories or experiences of our past. With the right support and tools—like EMDR and other approaches—we can figure out what’s getting in the way, understand how it’s showing up in your life, and start working toward letting it go. I'm EMDRIA basic trained in EMDR, a well-researched method that’s helped many people heal from trauma and move forward.
I know it’s not easy to open up and ask for help—but I also know that things can start to feel more manageable once you give yourself the space to do it. Change isn’t easy, and that’s okay. My goal is to offer a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can explore what’s holding you back and start working toward what’s next. I’d love to hear from you when you’re ready.
Having recently retired from my work at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre I am now offering counselling part-time. Hope to see you soon.

Learn more about EMDR
I use EMDR to explore how your past influences your present. This helps your brain process better, lessening its impact on your overall well-being. Our goal is to help you move forward in a positive way.
